Linear Guide & Ball Screw Shaft Cutting

We offer high-precision cutting services for both PMI linear guide rails (MSA, MSH, MSC, MSB series, etc.) and ball screw shafts. All cutting is performed using specialized equipment that ensures perpendicularity, clean edges, and preservation of functional surfaces and coatings.

Key specifications:

  • Cutting of linear guides from size 7 to 65

  • Ball screw shaft diameters from 3 mm to 120 mm

  • Angle deviation ≤ 0.05°, surface roughness ≤ Ra 1.6

  • Preserves preload characteristics (Z0, Z1, Z2) and mounting geometries

  • Cutting tailored to grease hole positions, mounting hole schemes, or custom requirements

  • Fully compliant with PMI technical specifications and ISO standards.

END-machining

Ball Screw End Machining 

We machine the ends of ball screws from PMI series (SFA, SFU, SFI, SAF) with diameters from 12 mm to 63 mm and leads up to 20 mm. End machining is performed according to customer drawings or DIN 69051 standard forms (BK, BF, EK, FF, etc.).

Technical specifications:

  • Concentricity tolerance ≤ 0.01 mm

  • Machining length up to 200 mm

  • Metric and inch thread cutting

  • Surface roughness up to Ra 0.8

  • Dynamic balancing available for high-speed applications (up to 5,000 rpm)

  • Full compatibility with PMI supports, bearings, and flanges.

Docking

Linear Guide Rail Docking

We perform high-precision docking of linear guides to achieve total lengths more than 4,000 mm without loss of positioning accuracy. Ideal for linear systems requiring extended travel.

Docking features:

  • Vertical alignment tolerance ≤ 0.01 mm, lateral ≤ 0.02 mm

  • Ground mating ends with minimal gap ≤ 0.05 mm

  • Full straightness and parallelism control along the complete length

  • Optional inspection of motion profile after assembly

  • Supports preload types and high-accuracy applications

  • Rail docking available with PMI-standard mounting hole layouts.
